Pallas Cat of Eastern Mongolia in Summer
- Dates: July 10th, 2024 - July 18th, 2024
- Spaces Left: 2 (Maximum 5 Photographers)

In July of 2024, I will lead an exclusive first-time workshop for Pallas cats and kittens for just five photographers in the far east of remote Mongolia in Summer.
We will be based in Eastern Mongolia for this expedition and camping in Gyrs (Yurts). Temperatures at this time of year will hover around 20º-30º Celsius. Each Gyr is equipped with a bed and basic wash facilities. There are no showers or running water, and bathroom facilities (although clean) are limited to western-style pit toilets. Fresh bottled drinking water is provided, along with all meals, for the duration of the expedition. There will be no cell phone coverage and no internet access once we leave Ulaanbataar, the capital city of Mongolia.
We will use 4WD vehicles to commute from our base camp as we search the terrain for the Pallas Cat.
Pallas Cats are among the rarest and hardest to find wild cats on earth. All participants understand that there are no guarantees. However, every effort will be made to see and photograph Pallas Cats using local guides and trackers skilled at locating the cats. Local guides will pre-scout for signs of Pallas Cat before arrival to maximize our time and opportunities. Please use the register button at the bottom of this page to register your interest. Places are extremely limited and once spoken for that's it.
